Match Research Publish

Bridging Biotech is a project-based academic acceleration program connecting international life science early-career researchers with established academic supervisors. Mentees execute the groundwork and gain practical research experience, while Mentors provide structural guidance and expand their global research network. The definitive outcome of this partnership is a co-authored, publication in our open-access journal.

The 4-Stage
Acceleration Framework

Application & Screening

Candidates submit their academic profiles, research interests, or active project proposals. Our committee evaluates academic competence and alignment.

Strategic Matching

Selected Mentees are precisely paired with a global Mentor specializing in their exact subdomain of biotechnology or life sciences.

Structured Collaboration

Pairs engage in regular 1-on-1 digital sessions over a fixed period to execute literature reviews, data analysis, or manuscript structuring.

Open-Access Publication

The finalized research paper undergoes standard and is published open-access in the Bridging Biotech Journal, maximizing global visibility.

Who We Look For?

For Mentees (Students & Early-Career Researchers)

  • Eligibility: Master’s or PhD students in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related life sciences with a concrete research drive.

  • Responsibilities: Dedicate a minimum of 3-5 hours per week, execute core research tasks, maintain consistent communication, and drive the drafting of the manuscript.

  • Deliverable: A fully structured, co-authored scientific article published on our open-access global platform.

For Mentors (Academics & Industry Leaders)

  • Eligibility: Established university professors, post-doctoral researchers, or senior industry scientists with a strong research background.

  • Responsibilities: Provide methodological oversight, review manuscript drafts, offer career acceleration insights, and guide the student through academic barriers.

  • Deliverable: High-quality academic supervision and co-authorship on a cross-border research publication, shared instantly with a worldwide audience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to participate in the program?

No. Bridging Biotech operates as an open-access scientific ecosystem. Participation for both selected Advisors and Researchers are completely free of charge.

How are geographic boundaries and time-zone differences managed?

All collaborative sessions are held digitally. Pairs establish their own weekly meeting schedules based on mutual availability during the matching phase.

What happens if a project cannot be finished within the cohort timeline?

While we aim for publication-ready manuscripts by the end of the cycle, complex research can be extended as "Ongoing Research" into the next cohort upon mutual agreement.

Can I apply without a concrete project proposal?

Yes. Researchers can apply based on their specific fields of interest (e.g., metagenomics). Matched Advisors will then integrate the mentee into an existing research track or co-develop a new proposal.
