Our First Milestone: Türkiye & Portugal

Our very first initiative within the Bridging Biotech journey aimed to build a scientific bridge between Türkiye and Portugal—a symbolic and practical step towards international academic collaboration. Bridging the Mentorship Gap

Despite the rapid growth of biotechnology, early-career researchers often face systemic barriers—from unequal access to funding and global networks to a lack of accessible mentorship opportunities. The gap between established academic leaders and young scientists can inhibit innovation and slow down the pace of discovery. True scientific equity means ensuring that every brilliant mind, regardless of their geographical location or background, has the support needed to thrive.

With our international Mentorship Program, we aimed to bridge this gap and empower the brilliant work of emerging scientists. By pairing esteemed professors with early-career researchers, we created an environment where mentorship, collaboration, and mutual recognition could flourish. Science is Borderless
